Neil Ghosh’s mission is to give a voice to the voiceless and build bridges among people of all backgrounds and beliefs. A seasoned executive, Neil’s experience spans the nonprofit, government, philanthropic, and private sectors. At just 14, he founded a grassroots organization to empower children and youth in his hometown of Kolkata, India—displaying a passion for impact that has defined his career.

Neil’s journey has taken him from his childhood in Kolkata to leading the Australian government’s investment and trade office, from overcoming many personal and professional setbacks to securing leadership roles in global nonprofits supporting vulnerable populations in more than 50 countries.

He is currently the president of MGR Professional Services, Inc., a columnist at Patheos, and a senior advisor to the Ousri Foundation and the Healthy Climate Initiative. Previously, he was CEO of SOS Children’s Villages USA, executive vice president of the Global Fund for Children, and CEO of SNV Netherlands Development Organisation USA.

From advocating for systemic change at the highest levels to working hands-on with marginalized communities, Neil has dedicated his career to creating meaningful impact. His book, Do More Good, is the culmination of his journey—a collection of inspiring stories about extraordinary individuals and a handbook for positive action.

Neil Ghosh is a seasoned executive whose experience and expertise span the nonprofit, government, philanthropic, and private sectors. Throughout his career, he has successfully launched and grown several nonprofit and for-profit operations from the ground up and has built teams, business models, partnerships, and strategies to reach organizational goals and support vulnerable populations in more than 50 countries. Neil has helped shapepublic-private partnerships to catalyze trade, education, youth development, social justice, and employability and to harness the skills of vulnerable populations. He continues to influence corporate executives, government decision-makers, and world leaders to shape their agendas on youth and children, education, trade, impact investing, and inclusive business.

Currently, Neil serves as president of MGR Professional Services, Inc. and is a senior advisor to the Ousri Foundation and Healthy Climate Initiative. Earlier he was chief executive officer of SOS Children’s Villages USA, executive vice president of Global Fund for Children, and chief executive officer of SNV USA. Throughout his career, he has been an advocate for vulnerable populations. He also focuses on advancing nimble cross-sector collaboration systems to foster sustainable development.

Neil is a certified managementconsultant with an MBA in international business and an MS in management information systems. He has been featured in print, broadcast, and online media in the United States and abroad, including CNN, Devex, the Washington Post, Economic Times, Voice of America, the Australian, the Huffington Post, and Stanford Social Innovation Review.

At the age of 14, Neil started a grassroots organization to empower local children and youth in his hometown of Kolkata, India. This experience spurred his involvement in the international development field after spending more than a decade in the private sector and government agencies.
